@dallas_howell Sorry to hear about the sickness. I only have a regular Rayquaza, and my shiny Charizard is built for Mega X.

@leftwingzero there easy to me too but like EV training defensive pokemon seem to take a little longer .
@elbowhead Attack takes me longer when it's raining on route 14 and I can't horde Bellsprout for attack EV's and have to go to frost cavern and EV train with Cubchoo instead. Although that's how I got my shiny Cubchoo, so it's all good.

@elbowhead You could just horde nosepass on route 10 for defense ev's.

@leftwingzero go on route on route 19 . You will find weepingbell , which makes it easier to train in attack , because 2 attack EVs instead of one like bell sprout .

@elbowhead I tried that once and screwed up. I think it was because I was tired and forgot to pass on Pokerus to the Pokemon I wanted to EV train. I'll have to try that on my next attack Pokemon.
