Hey guys, hold up! If I heard correctly, a UK code is not compatible with any 3DS from the PAL (Europe) region, except for the UK of course? Meaning that the codes are region locked to the specific countries of Europe? What?

Unforunantly yes.

So there`s no ``universal´´ EU code? You have to get a code from spain for spanish 3ds, etc?

According to Serebii that is correct. It's been that way for the smash demos and it's most likely sticking with these.

In some way, it would be strange.
Because i know that, when Sweden, Norway and Finland released an online subscription to get demo codes, people from all over Europe registered to it and the codes were sold out a couple days later.
So if a code was only for a country and not a region, I don't think people from all over Europe would have asked for a code to these 3 countries...

Serebii only tells us the way each country distributes codes, it does not tells us that codes are going to be for that country only, because 3DS are Region Locked, not country locked

Then they might work.

Ah. Strange that there seems to be a lot of people unsure if the code will work on their EU console then!

I hope this is the last time they do this complete bullpooooooooooooop-_- why can`t they just put a demo for the e-shop that everyone can download? Is it that hard?

Because a lot of people, just like me, don't understand region lock very well. I've literally just spend an hour on the internet reading things about it to understand how it works ahah.

And they're doing it surely for people to feel "privileged" when they obtain a code. Also to promote local websites / magazines i guess

It'll probably be on the eShop in a few weeks like Smash Bros was

Yeah, but the ones that got the codes before have infinite plays, earlier access, and (i think, dont know for sure) have more events, since apparently something new happens each day. Therefore, they´ll have more exclusive stuff than the ones who doesnt :S

Of course not. Everyone will be able to get everything from the demo. Doubt it has a length of over a week or two.

As far as I can tell (I have the one from Nintendo, my roommate has the eShop one), both Smash Bros are the exact same.

I am looking for a Demo Code, I am from Greece, so I think the UK ones will work??

I got an SSB4 Demo EU Code from someone and it worked for me since I live in Finland. I suspect that it's gonna be same here with the UK-codes of rest of the Europe.
