@graysoncharles Wasn’t aware of this, in what way were EA going to be involved? Also could’ve been cancelled due to the failure of the Wii U.

@NNGaming900 Basically, what it boils down to, is that EA wanted to exclusively provide their online platform Origin for all things Wii U, but obviously, Nintendo had already made their own plans, as well as having a rather all-encompassing deal with Japanese online giant DeNA, so that was never going to happen. And this happened all before and during the period that the Wii U was officially launched, so it definitely had nothing to do with the Wii U not being successful. EA already pulled the plug WAY before that happened.

And because of that falling out, the supposed "unprecedented partnership" with EA fell apart as quickly as it was initially promised. And the rest is history. Now, Nintendo is forever stuck with EA only offering them diluted versions of sports games based upon old engines, and last generation remakes...

@NNGaming900 Well, at the time itself, it wasn't known that EA tried to push the Origin platform onto Nintendo, but of course, long after the fact, plenty of video gaming news outlets and individual video gaming historians went on a quest to find out the exact reasons behind the falling out and the dissipation of the "unprecedented partnership", and that is what they ultimately unearthed.

On a completely unrelated side note: I see that in your other thread, you got a heads up about our resident moron SwitchForce, and I couldn't agree more: just ignore that guy, and don't even respond to him, because he's too tunnel-visioned to ever have a normal discussion with.
