Topic: Switch is not accessing micro SD card.

I have been trying to update my physical copy of Pokémon Violet with the second wave of its DLC for a while now. Whenever I try, it either says it's unable to access the micro SD card, or it just stays on the "Downloading data..." screen indefinitely without actually doing anything; I once left it overnight thinking that might do something but woke up to it still not even starting to download. When I try to do something while it's trying to download the data, such as putting it to sleep mode by holding the home button or trying to open another software, it just freezes entirely, and I have to force it to power off by holding the power button for ~15 seconds.

I can update other games perfectly fine, it's just Violet that's acting weird, and it can't be the cartridge because I was able to update the game with the same cartridge inserted on a different switch that was on the same version as what this one's on. I have had something similar happen before, where I tried to save a clip/screenshot, but it again wasn't able to access the SD card, and weeks later when I tried to update a digital copy of Fortnite and the exact same thing happened then as what's happening now, but in both instances, it corrected itself a day later. I looked into it a little bit, but I'm still absolutely lost. Is it the SD card, the files, or the switch that's broken? If it's the switch, could I maybe fix it at home (I have the tools) and save myself some money? If it's the SD card, will copying the data onto a new card work, or do I run the risk of reintroducing the same potentially corrupted files back onto the switch? The card itself looks perfectly fine, and there's no dirt or debris in the slot.

@Charles_L This may be a little out there, but when I had a micro sd card go bad in my phone, the phone would freeze if I tried to make the card do a big job, like recorded HD video, but the card would work if I did small jobs, like save a picture. The problem was similar when I plugged the card into a PC. Replacing the card solved it. Although, I've never heard of anyone else ever having an issue like that.

@WoomyNNYes Thank you, this helps. I forgot to include that I've been using the card since late 2019.
