Topic: Redownloading software of the E Shop

Hello Everyone,

Something I figured out today I thought I would share. I am looking to upgrade SD cards so I was looking to see how to redownload software.

I came across a little issue, in the redownload part of the e shop it did not display games I have downloaded and most importantly paid for like Hollow Knight and Outlast. What I figured is that these games only show up on the redownload section after the game has been deleted.

So after I deleted Hollow Knight, it came up on the redownload section on the eshop for me to download. I just thought I would share this and hope it helps.

Also you can only download off the user account that you originally bought the game off.

There is a eShop redownload section on eShop did you look carefully there and only those Digital are connected to the account that purchased the eShop games not another account. There is no problem that I am aware of why the account that bought the Digital couldn't redownload the game again. If so then you need to contact NIN support for eShop purchase issue. Also you should look at NIN support page about backing up the card before changing it out to save your downloaded games and so that they match when you restart the Switch with the upgraded sd card. So look at Nintendo site it has alot to help.

@SwitchForce Dood, you are literally repeating what OP just said...

When I replaced my Switch, I could also see redownload from the games page. Scroll all the way to the right on the home screen, then scroll down to the bottom.

Before I deleted my games they did not show up. Hollw Knight, Outlast and Fortnite. Only after I deleted them only then they showed up.

I've seen comments on YouTube videos with people stating they cant see there games on the redownload part and I was in the same boat

@Adnanilyas21 Since no one is there to see your console that is all he said she said at this point. If you got problems you need to contact Nintendo Support.

@SwitchForce If you read my post I said that the games eventually showed up on the redownload page after I deleted them so i am good. Thanks though.

@SwitchForce Dood, you seriously need to start reading before posting.

@Adnanilyas21 I saw that but I said since no on is there no on can verify the problem. As that would be a Nintendo Support issue to look into if there was a problem.
