Topic: Question about charging

I received Nintendo Switch today as a gift for mother's day. I have it set up and we've been playing Mario Kart. My question is, will it hurt my console/damage the battery if I leave the console docked all of the time? We won't be playing it as a handheld game but didn't know if it's not recommended to keep it always docked.

Also, is there a manual I can download somewhere? Thanks!

It's not going to hurt it. It's meant to be in the dock. It's supposedly designed as a home console first and as a portable secondly.

I'm not sure about the manual. Wasn't there anything in the box? Might check around the Nintendo site for a PDF manual or something.

it's not exactly a manual, but if you select the News icon on the home menu and scroll to the bottom, there are some helpful posts about the system.
