Topic: Problem with Happy Home Paradise DLC (just one user can play it)

Hi, I have my Swtich with the Animal Crossing New Horizons and I have it up to date.

I decided to purchase the Happy Home Paradise DLC, so I got the offer of the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack membership.
The Expansion Pack included the Happy Home Paradise DLC.
Okay, I downloaded the DLC, installed it I can play it, but the other accounts in my Switch cannot play the DLC.
In my Switch I have two users.
My user (my Nintendo account), it has the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack membership
and
The user for my girlfriend (her Nintendo account), she has an account, but her account do not have paid the DLC and is not paying any online services (just my account pay the online).
When I run Animal Crossing New Horizons I can play the Happy Home Paradise DLC... but she cannot play the DLC...
She would like to play the DLC with her user... but we don't know what to do to achive this?
She would like just to play the DLC with her user and I would like to continue playing the DLC with my user (we both want to play).
Please, could you explain me what should we do?

Wait is it a family plan?

@mrmister Unlike other platforms where subscription content is shared between all users on the console provided the user with the subscription has the console set as their primary console, with the Switch the only way you can share the NSO content is by buying a family membership and adding the users to that membership.

Yep we had the same problem with my daughter. Fortunately we have a non-full family plan, so I just had to add a new account for her to our plan and now she can use it.

Aha, so the solution would be to get a family plan for my Nintendo Switch online account, and add to the family group the account of my girlfriend?
Is that right?

It could be as other mentioned needs family member NSO to share it. ACNH is notorious for one person player only. If you have issue you should contact Nintendo Support about this as well since this involves paid membership that they can only deal with.

Animal Crossing New Horizons can be played with several players, my girlfriend and I were playing 1 year or so... and we enjoy it, it's not just for one player.

You have three options really;
1: Upgrade to the Nintendo Switch online family membership and add your girlfriends account to it. You could also add any other friends or family members to it too.
2: Have your girlfriend buy the Nintendo Switch online membership + expansion herself as a single user
3: Have your girlfriend buy the expansion as a standalone DLC

If your girlfriend would use the online features then the first option would be the cheapest way to do it. If they never really use the online function, then just buying the DLC would probably be better.
