Hi all, has anybody played this game? What are your thoughts on it?
It's quite enjoyable I think, glad I took a punt on it when it was on sale a while back.
I think the joy con buttons are a bit small for it however. The pro controller is ok but this is the first game I've noticed the pro controller doing the weird d pad thing on. I thought I just got lucky all this time but at some point I'll be doing the mod that repairs the d pad on the controller (since it's out of warranty anyway). The SNES controller is my current preference but I still wish there was a piano controller. What do people think the best controller for this game is?
I think I am going to butcher a controller and a keyboard and try and make one... Not sure how difficult it will be but I've bought a controller for a tenner and I'm going to buy a kids keyboard for a tenner too and hopefully somehow combine the two lol....
@bixente fair enough! The switch version doesn't have touch screen controls unfortunately
It's got me hankering for a classic guitar hero return. It's weird how old franchises like guitar hero and tony hawk can become stale but their replacements like rock band and skate just weren't as good (only my opinion). I just wish we could get sequels to these games with the classic controls and made by fans of the franchises so they actually have some love put into them
@ralphdibny
Hello!, have you already find a solution?, I mean, did you find some kind of piano controller?
I'm trying to make a piano to solve this issue, I'm thinking to create a 3D file to print it, I you are still interested on it let me know so I can share it with you.
@Link8838 heya, nah I didn't in the end. This project got put on the back burner! I bought the controller and found a decent looking keyboard but never got around to ordering it
I did try the Wii guitar hero controller connected to the Mayflash S Pro adapter but only a few of the buttons on the neck registered any inputs.
I'd certainly take a look at a 3d printed file if you posted a link! I don't have a 3d printer myself though so I wouldn't be able to print it off myself :/
I think the best controller for me in the end turned out to be the Bluetooth SNES controller. All the buttons are nice and big on that one. I think I was a bit concerned that in harder difficulties that you might need to press left and right on the d-pad though which is impossible on a SNES controller but you can do it on the separated d-pad buttons on the joy con. I never found out if that was the case though, I never encountered it and I think I was playing on medium difficulty
@ralphdibny I see, well if that solution works to you it's nice, I don't have a 3D printer either so XD, I'm making the prototype out of wooden tongue depressors and cardboard, when I finished it I will make blueprints and I will look for someone how can make then a 3D file. If it works nicely I'm going to let you know in case that you want to try to make one!
Maybe with the keyboard it might be possible to me to play medium difficulty XD
@Link8838 ooo that sounds cool! Are you making the template for the cardboard cutout by hand or on the computer? If it's an image file you can upload it at imgbb and post the link here
I think a cardboard version might be more accessible to me! But yeah, post your progress and pics, I'd be really interested to see how you get on!
@SkullLink8838 sorry, I missed this post! If you upload it to imgbb then you can copy the URL into a post here between two IMG tags e.g [IMG]Https//blahblahblah[/IMG ] (without the space after the second IMG) so we can see the pics of what you have made!
