Topic: Nintendo Switch "Unable to verify membership"

Every time I try to start up a game like "Crash team racing," it keeps giving me the message "This is the current backup and download status of your save data. For more information, go to the HOME menu, highlight your software and select Options, and then select Save Data Cloud. Unable to verify membership." I always click where it says to backup the save file but it acts like I never did it every other time. This all started when I recently changed my micro SD card for a bigger one on my switch. Prior to this it hasn't happened. It's not a big hindrance but it's really annoying. I do have a paid online membership.

Any help is appreciated. I haven't seen anything regarding this topic.

@Dood782 It means that you didn't buy said digital game on said profile your trying to play it on.

@Snatcher I did. Was I supposed to do something with my profile when I transferred my save data to my other SD card?

@Dood782 Did you delete everything off your switch before changing SD cards?

Your profile is saved on the Switch not the sd card that is for DLC and updates of games. If you can't verify that account is the one the purchased the game there's nothing you can do but contact Nintendo support about the problem. Your new sd card should've used the Switch to format it and then copy the old sd Nintendo folder to computer and then copy it back to the new sd card but not overwriting the Nintendo created folders but adding to it. If you didn't do this it will not recognize the data on the new card. But since we have no idea whom bought the Digital games this makes it hard to know here.
