Topic: Need Pikmin 2 help (resetting caves?)

When I take a huge loss in a cave, what's the easiest way for me to bail without saving the loss of Pikmin?

So far, I've just been going to the home menu, closing out the whole game, and then booting up the game again and loading my file, but that's a bit tedious. It's nice that it takes me back to the same floor I was on, but is there a faster way?

Just close the game without saving assuming you have a save point before this next stage and if not a complete restart is the last resort here. No faster way I've seen playing P4 so far and I lost two red Pikmin which bites.

@SwitchForce That's the question I'm asking... how do I close out to the main menu without saving? I believe there's a way to do this without shutting down the game entirely, but I don't know how.

Just go to "Home" screen and exit the program from there. That way the previous saves will remain and will not be written over.
