I don't know if this is ok to post here. I'm new to the forum. But I bought a cover and it closes with a magnet right on the top of the screen and I want to know if this would cause any damage to the screen at all. Again sorry if this is the wrong place to post this.
The type of cover is a hybrid cover.
Sorry if I’m totally off, but is this kind of like those magnetic iPad covers that easily come on and off? If so screen damage probably wouldn’t happen. Although you should buy a screen protector to be safe.

I'd imagine they should be safe to use, otherwise the manufacturer would probably get sued like there was no tomorrow. Also I remember seeing people having those kind of magnetic covers for their mobile devices, so one for the Switch should be alright to use, however as said above, should put on a screen protector to be on the safe side (which I did when I first bought my Switch and even did that for my Wii U)
I made Sheldon & Mr. Randoms back on Flipnote Hatena, now i'm a kangaroo mod that has a funko pop collection!
I'm not keen politics since that stuff is spooky, I'd rather watch SpongeBob over Fox News anyways!
Not a problem for the glass, but for any memory that may be behind the screen. Watch out when using magnets or you'll risk damaging the internal memory of your Switch. Also, magnets can distort the image of a screen permanently or cause unrepairable color changes! Depends on the power of the magnet and the distance to the Switch.
