Topic: Is switch pro actually promised

Was there any announcement or leak about switch pro that actually confirms it is actually coming somewhen?
I want to buy a switch now, but I'm considering waiting for that switch pro, but I'm not sure if there's even a point waiting for it. It would suck hard if there's actually no such revision

@PitThePup Short answer, no, there was no announcement from Nintendo regarding revising the hardware. It's only been rumors, which have been going on for two years now.

A year ago, around december/january, a couple people here asked if they should buy a switch now, or wait until March in case a new Switch was released with revised hardware. And, it never happened.

As for this year, I don't know what to tell you.

Not ever promised, no. However every core Switch gamer wants to see a modest upgrade to the 2015 tech inside the Switch and Switch Lite. The available 3.5 GB of RAM for developers and the memory bandwidth of 25 GB/s (versus a base PS4's memory bandwidth of 176 GB/s) are bottlenecks that put limits on how games perform on Switch. We're not asking for the moon such as 4k portable gaming, but a steady 720p 30 fps across most games would be nice.

Steady 720p in portable and 1080p docked with bare minimum 30fps.

I see it this way launch 2017 and now 2021 that's 4 years going now and to not expect a new hardware is how you die off in the console market. I myself would expect news of a Pro or higher model coming out sooner then later to corner the portable gaming market more since no one else is making one.

@PitThePup People saying the switch pro is comming is based of nintendo allways comming out with a upgraded ver. but there was one, a switch with a better battry but I have no idea if nintendo plans to do a new switch.
