Topic: Games like My Life As A King

I've been thinking a lot of Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: My Life as a King lately. It was a Wiiware spinoff where you played the titular king of a ruined citty. You had to send adventurers out on missions to get materials to help rebuild your town. You had no direct control over the adventurers and got a summary of their adventures every day. Basically all you could do was build parties, equip them, and send them out. On paper it doesn't seem like much but it was compelling to me. It was almost a proto-idle game.

I've never come across anything like it since. I would love to play something like it again. Is there anything like it on Switch or mobile?

I've never played My Life as a King, so I can't say from experience, but NintendoLife has a review for Various Daylife on Switch (which I also haven't played), and it sounds like there's a lot of management in sending your team out on missions via menus and such.

@Plusle_and_Minun That's in the neighborhood, but you still have active control in combat. My Life As a King took all that control away from you. You could see what was happening in real time, but couldn't affect the outcome aside from changing party composition or equipment.
I appreciate the recommendation, but this may be a fool's quest haha.

After looking around, the closest things I can find are Dunidle: Idle RPG and Loop Dungeon: Idle RPG for mobile? There's also Rogue with the Dead: Idle RPG on mobile, but the reviews didn't seem too favorable. Maybe try looking into Idle RPGS?

If you're into simulation games, there's a ton on the Switch, and Townsmen: A Kingdom Rebuilt is a good one, and there's a bunch of different sims by Kairosoft, but I know those don't really have combat and aren't exactly what you're looking for.
