Do you bring your Switch (or any other Console) with you on holiday?

Isn't holiday about getting away from what you normally do?

I used to think it was sad to bring a Console on holiday but since having the Switch have changed my mind.

I used to bring my GBA Micro but never used it at the time hence why I stopped bringing Handhelds for a time.

I take my Switch with me almost everywhere I go.
We like to do stuff we usually do, but in other places. So me and my family often brings gaming consoles and gaming PC's to places lol

I've never been on a holiday before, or at least the kind of holiday most people consider to be a "holiday" (vacation outside your country or state, I'd imagine). But if I'm on a holiday, why wouldn't I bring along my entertainment system along, especially when it can be played handheld? The whole point of a holiday is to enjoy myself.

Yup, my holidays tend to be visiting my wife’s family abroad and I need something to do in the evenings or when I’m left to my own devices. I remember years ago not was my GBA, then 2DS and now Switch. I don’t play all that much but it’s good to have it there (plus both my kids have their own Switch Lites with them too).

No, but my 3DS goes with me everywhere for the step counter and street pass, not that I get many hits on that any more. But still live in hope to finish those few puzzle swap sheets that can only be completed through street pass.

Going to Prague and Dresden the first week of December, so if anyone lives around there, please take out your 3DSs with you...

Just my Switch, I leave our PlayStation at home, thank god. The way we travel we'd pay the price of the PS5 again just to ship the damn thing wherever we go.

Currently playing:

Xenoblade Chronicles 2

N3DS and Switch goes with me on most of my trips.

I also take food and drink, and look out for oxygen wherever I can get it.

You guys had me at blood and semen.

@gcunit Sad to read you have an oxygen defect problem.

Have you had it since birth?

Yes and I always like to grab a new game before heading off specifically for the trip. Yo-Kai Watch, Pokemon Super Mystery Dungeon, Crash Bandicoot N Sane Trilogy and probably many more I'm simply forgetting are examples of that. It's always exciting to finally get on a plane, get cosy whilst it takes off and then start going at a brand new game I haven't been able to play until now, it gets me every time

Yes, and it's potentially fatal, apparently. Though it's more common than some people appreciate, so I'm not on my own.

I've taken the Switch to beach vacation/holiday with family. We mainly play games socially on the side, or sometimes in evenings. Beach and outdoors are still the priority. Plus, you want something to do if there are rainy days.

I took my Switch with me on my trip a few weeks ago and I used it as a clock (but I also played games on it).

No, but that's just because we haven't been on a big vacation/holiday probably for over a decade.

We used to take a cross country fishing trip each summer, and having my GBA or DS with me was a godsend during the road trip (two days each way). There was one summer I was allowed to take the PS2 when we went, and I probably played a bit too much Ace Combat 4 & Kingdom Hearts, lol.

Currently Playing:
Switch - Blade Strangers
PS4 - Kingdom Hearts III, Tetris Effect (VR)

Yes, although sometimes I bring my 3DS instead because it's more conveniently portable.

This did happen before portable consoles. I did this during Lan Games so this still happens if your not aware of this. Gaming laptop is cheap nowdays and that can be on the go gaming as well.
