The game is 100 Yen on japan's eshop. The smallest japanese eshop card on play-asia was for 1000 Yen (about $10 USD). So, buying it leaves 900 Yen unspent. I've been playing this for about 40 minutes, I'm glad I got it. I like it so far. (file size 161 MB)
How is this not available on english-speaking-eshop-regions? Baffling.
If you do buy it, the first time you load up the game, it will be in japanese. At main menu, select the bottom option. Next menu, select bottom option again to turn on english language. After that, the game will always boot up in english.
@Burning_Spear It's a metal gear style stealth game. I don't want to over sell it. It's not deep, but it has some Christmas charm, and I think it's fun.
Your objective is to put gifts under the trees in the house without being spotted. There's a bonus goal of finding & eating the cookies. Completing the houses quickly, has some challenge. I'm enjoying the game, and I don't move onto the next level until I've found the cookies, and completed the level in a quick manner. I played for 40 minutes, and I'm at house 12 of the 20 houses/levels that are in the game. The longplays on youtube are around 30 minutes long. So, yeah, it's not a huge game. I'd really like if they make a bigger version of this game.
It cost me like 20 yen give or take after gold coins so felt practically free. I've only played for maybe 10-15 minutes and the gameplay is very simple and nothing to write home about but it has its charm and is worth it for the music alone.
@BenAV Do you know if there's anything you can do with charcoal in the game? Or is that just an easter egg reference to original Cave Story? (I've never played Cave Story)
