Topic: Animal Crossing NH moving from one switch to another

My partner got ACNH when it first came out and I’ve been playing as a resident on his island. I loved it so much I got an online Nintendo account and eventually my own switch with the game. I have copied my account to the new switch , they both have the same friend code.

I know that I can’t strictly speaking transfer my character over but I’m hoping to find a way to send my favourite items to the new switch. Because I can’t add myself as a friend I don’t see how I can send it through the mail the way you would with another friends account. If possible I’d like to avoid giving all my favourite items to my new partner so that he can send them to me. Does anyone have any ideas?

Also, when other friends want to send me an item which character will it go to?

I'm not entirely sure about the rules of multiplayer Animal Crossing.

But have you tried making him a villager on your island on the original Switch?

You will need your partner to visit you via local wireless and drop your desired items on your island (you can't "send" items, per se).

@LzWinky I’m not sure that I can? It’s his village on the original. He’s the town representative and I’m just a resident

It's time consuming but when I started over, I dropped all of my fav items on my brother's island using my old character. Started a new island, visited my brother's island as the "new" me and picked all my items back up and took them home with me.

This is the method I used with a friend when I started over on my Lite
