Topic: Animal Crossing New Horizons -broken/fault/stuck No Nook’s Cranny

Looked everywhere online and can find nothing.

Been playing for ages, nearly paid off my second house upgrade, built the museum, I’ve spent over 50,000 bells in the store, I’ve invited everyone I can through nook tickets, the Timmy and tommy will NOT ask me to help them build a store and I still have no conversation about helping them build their own store. It’s still just the tent. What the he’ll is going on?

200,000 bells I heard, and 30 days of playing.
If you bought the game on release day, like me, they should ask you tomorrow to enlarge the shop.

Well here are the requirements:

1. Build a bridge (talk to Tom Nook)
2. Build the museum
3. Invite 3 residents and build their houses
4. Donate materials when asked by Timmy

@SKTTR I did it in 6 hours after spending 5000 bells. I was playing as a resident on an island that my wife was the resident representative on the same switch. 2 weeks i’d played it and not got anywhere and amassed over 300,000 bells. I had no idea that you can only progress. Major fault in the game and it should state before you begin that you can’t really do anything unless your the first person on the island.

It’s all sorted, @Heavyarms55 I figured it out. My wife and I were playing on the same machine on the same island. She was the first to register and I was a resident. As I was only a resident, none of the mission/story/progression elements of the game would spring from my actions, they have to be done by the main resident.

I deleted the whole file and started all over again. Faster spending 5000 bells at resident services and upgrading out of the tent, Timmy and to it asked me to help them build their own shop. That’s all it takes, you just have to be the first registered islander and appointed residents representative.
