I have another question. Do I really need that Full Overwrite Formating on my brand new Micro SD card before moving my files from old one to this brand new one?

@SViper It's been over a year since I upgraded my card, but if you buy a product that uses a micro sd card, they always specify which format the card should have for the product, and it's normal to format a new card. Not everything uses the same format. But yeah, formatting wipes the content on the card.
@Woomy_NNYes thanks for answer, but I found a guide that says if it's brand new one then most likely I don't need do that Full Overwrite Formatting. So I will we see how it will goes first without formatting and if it goes wrong then I do that Full Overwrite Formatting.

Get it on Amazon Italy that will give you some protection from fake sd cards if something goes wrong. Otherwise get a 400gb instead that way you save more for when the 1tb goes down in prices.
another question on the topic of micro SD cards: I am thinking of upgrading to the new Switch model with the improved battery and my original micro SD has loads of space left (it was 256GB). I know I can't just put it in the new Switch since it's not gonna work and the method Nintendo recommends is transferring the data to a new one via PC but I'd rather just keep the one I have. Anyone have any ideas?
@gortsi You don't have to do anything with your current micro sd card. You leave it as is. You will need to link your new switch to your Nintendo account. And, while Nintendo tries to make things dummy-proof, it's very smart to research the steps -sometime the order of the steps is crucial. If I can't find the info in the support section of Nintendo's site, I call Nintendo. Their phone line support is good. But you're safest getting the info from Nintendo. Whether it's the Switch Manual, Nintendo's website support, or calling Nintendo. Nintendo site might even have an instant messenger to talk to someone. You'll see all the options in the support Contact section.

Here's what I did by pure accident I copied the old data to the new card and inputted the new card with the old data into the new card but also make sure you migrate your data to the new one using a Nintendo Account this is the only way to move your data over right now. After I booted up it recognized it as the old sd card and wanted to format and I said "yes" then oh &^&^&* but after it restarted the saved games and data was still on the card. I couldn't believe it but it looked it it just formatted the card with it's new Nintendo NIN info and left the others intact. I don't know if yours will do that but always get a new sd card and copy your data over to that and then try what I did so that your old sd card still have the original data on it. Never use that in the new one as you don't know what might happen. But to do sd transfer you need a sd reader to copy to your computer and then format the new sd to NIN format and then copy the data over.
@Woomy_NNYes thanks, I saw that link before but I just couldn't exactly figure out what happens with the data in the SD card, I guess after moving the account the card would work in the new one.
@SwitchForce yeap, I knew about the PC copy method and the data transferring, just wondering if the old card would work. Let's see how it goes!
