Topic: 3D All Stars Sunshine

I've been playing through mario sunshine and got to the king boo fight. While it's not a difficult fight you rely on getting the fruit from the spinners to be able to attack him. I've finally done it but it took multiple attempts of getting fed up with waiting and then playing for about 40 minutes just waiting for it to land on fruit! I don't remember it being like this on the GC, is the port just broken or did I just get incredibly bad RNG?
