Topic: I tried to change my avatar, but the old one is still here, and the new one is not.

Same, the new avatar appears under the Edit profile screen, but fails to update out of it.
Plus this smiley face is kinda creepy...

You guys tried refreshing your browser (CTRL+F5)? Sometimes your old image might be cached (remembered by the computer to reduce loading times).

@Digiki, @Cryo: Your not alone, its basically a caching problem with the browser because we don't change the filename - we're working on improving this so it forces a refresh of the images, we're aware of the issue

Sometimes when I've changed my avatar in the past (back on WiiWareWorld), I've noticed that it doesn't show up for myself, although others can still see it. And then on certain computers, I recall seeing REALLY old avatars (at school, it still thinks I've got that Sin & Punishment avatar... or at least it did last time I checked).

I had this problem a while ago, but didn't see this thread. Glad to know what it was about.

Mine updated on my profile and forum posts, but not on the "recent forums" list on the home page. What's the problem there?

I think that happens to everyone, so don't worry.

Maybe it'll be fixed tomorrow. I'm not that worried about it actually
