Topic: 3DS LoZ Oracle of seasons problem with square jewel

near the first dungeon , you can find the square jewel. I was wathing a walkthru, and as soon I saw you had to change to summer in that area to get it i paused the vid and did it. but instead of going first to the place where you found the jewel (as I would have done if i had continued watxhing the vid) i instad stumbled upon the old man asking you to slay the four golden beasts. I thought this would give me the square jewel, so i continued the vid to find where the beasts were. instead he went to that cave you had to blow up with bomb, where he opened the chest and got the jewel. I did the same, but instead got a hundered rupees !!!
is there something wrong with my game?? do i actually have to slay the golden beasts to get the jewel? someone help me!

Are you playing a linked game or watching a walkthrough for one, because I'm not and I had to change the season to winter for where I went to get my square jewel.

im not playin linked game, but did you find the jewel one screen left and one screen down from the first dungeon?

wait and how did you get there if the cave is submerged in winter?

EDIT: in the walkthrogh , the locations of the jewels on the map were twinkling. how was that?

I'm not playing a linked game either, and it was farther west than that. Follow the water to the southwest, and there's a cave on the southern land area that has one of those mushroom things blocking the way, so you have to change it to winter to get in to it, so follow the water up north to the stump to change the season and then go back down to it.

Edit: You have to find the treasure map before they twinkle.

thats where i found the round jewel, so where did YOU find the round jewel?

you meant the cave on south of spool swamp that is like FAR FAR west from gnarled root dungeon
