Hey sorry this has probably been asked a lot but I need internet help
I got my 3DS for Christmas and Pokemon White

The internet is set up fine on my 3DS and I tried to set up the Nintendo DS Connection Settings as well because I got told I needed to do both.

So basically I tried the "Search for an Access Point" option and got the error, "The access point's security settings are not supported by the Nintendo DS"

SO I tried the manual and didn't get as much luck..

Well basically it keeps giving me an "Error Code 51300" - Unable to connect to an access point. Confirm Nintendo WFC connection settings and access point settings."

I entered in the Network Name and Wireless Key but it still doesn't work?
Can somebody please help me? I'd like to get some event pokemon (Victini :3)
For the meantime I was planning on dropping down to me local Maccas and hoping that their WifFi lets me download it :3

Really?
Well I've been trying to use the WiFi features in the game but it still says "No Compatible access points in range"
There is most certainly access points in range because I checked straight after if my internet was still working on my 3DS and it was :3
Even in the C-Gear all of the buttons are on saying "online" :3

I've been trying the manual way and it seems to be working better slightly..
I get the bars in the connection thing when I'm testing but it fails again :l
I get errors like 51200 and 52000 iirc

I was also wanting to know whether a solution would be using my iPhone as a hotspot.. Will this work?

There was a similar thread a few hours ago.

DS internet compatibility isn't the same as the 3DS. Your WiFi as stated above doesn't work with the DS, so it won't work.

Best bet is to go to a free hotspot and use that.

Do you know if McDonald's will work? :3

@JoshLala: Remember that the DS can only use a WEP connection, and the same goes for DS games. A DS game played on a DSi or a 3DS still requires a WEP connection to play over Wi-Fi.

McDonalds should work if it's an open hotspot that doesn't require any kind of login via web page.

What you said however one other thing. DSi-enhanced games like Pokemon Black are indeed compatible with WPA/2 networks. I don't even have any "Nintendo DS connections" set up myself. It should work on 3DS and DSi, though if using DS lite or fat you're still stuck with WEP.
