And you know, in hindsight, I think it may have been that Iwata was aware this would be his last E3. After all, they put a LOT of emphasis on Mario Maker, which was kind of Iwata's final project. I'm willing to chock this year's E3 up to Iwata wanting to see his creation in full before his passing, and the heartbreaking thing about that is that not only did he not survive to see it launched, but it was so poorly received by the public.

I don't think Iwata knew that far in advance. Remember, he had a benign tumor, so he didn't have cancer yet. Nintendo has repeatedly said it was unexpected. In all likelihood, I think Iwata and his doctors didn't expect the tumor to become life threatening when it did.

Currently Playing: Steamworld Heist, The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask, Tales of Graces F

@iKhan: Not when it did, no, but he only lived about three weeks after E3. I suppose given the time to prepare E3, it might've been a bit far flung to assume he'd be dead within the next month at the time, but within the next year? I'm sure he had some idea. Remember, Nintendo wouldn't have likely wanted their share holders knowing he was going to die soon, even IF Iwata had any idea. But that's a bit of a moot point, now, anyways. Just that looking at what's coming and in light of recent events, I don't feel like their E3 presentation was really bad at all. I stand by what I've been saying all along. It didn't hit very hard, but it was by no means bad.

A nifty calendar (Updated 9/13/15)
The UGXloggery ... really needs an update.
