I know all you Wiiu owners and future Wiiu owners are getting tired of the chaos going on with third-party publishers lately. But, you can find comfort in the fact that there's a good chance that in the long run we probably won't see a repeat of the Wii. How? Because, the Wiiu, as referenced by the company, is Nintendo's rebirth, the company's way of starting over. And you have to understand that, for Nintendo, building new relationships is about new franchises, not established ones, hence why the company is pushing for independents on the eShop.
Also, unlike the Wii and for the better, the Wiiu's third-party standing will be defined not only by its differences but by its similarities as well. To insure this, the Wiiu was designed to be more trendy than its predecessor while retaining a good amount of innovation to play with. There's still a significant difference in power from its upcoming rivals but less of a difference in basic controller format and GPU architecture. All the same, the console wasn't designed to allow future multi-plats to be released in all their graphical glory, it was designed to cut down on the cost of porting, leading to more available multi-plats, which we can already see happening in some form at launch. The quality of those launch titles is another story.
Anyway for the most part, the established franchises have already found their audiences, and that's likely where those audiences will stay. We'll probably never see as many CODs, Battlefields, and GTAs as we'd like to see on the Wiiu, but in considering the Wii brand's rebirth and the coming of new franchises, that doesn't mean that Wiiu owners won't, in the long run, have a good supply of the best the next generation will have to offer.
[With that being said it's kind of sad that some snooty publishers (not developers, they're often victims) are being stubborn in taking advantage of this. Remember EA's story about the use of Unreal Engine 3 on Wiiu though UE4 can in reality be rendered? And to think that they still want our money.]
We already know of this, it has already been said, and ranting about on the internet won't make these problems go away.
If your trying to built up a hate train, then you won't have any luck here on NL.
But I do enjoy a good old flame thread when I see one, keep on trying, I'm sure you'll start a fire somewhere.
For you, the day LordJumpMad graced your threads, was the most important day of your life. But for me, it was Tuesday. [url=http://www.backloggery.com/jumpmad]Unive...
I think it's of the "this forum is my new blog" variety. The op is not asking for any kind of input.
I'm in agreement. Please, kloudd, Nintendo Life is not your personal blog. You're more than welcome to start one and then post a link via your user signature, however — that way you could showcase your writing without creating topics that serve merely to confuse our users. Thanks in advance! :3
BEST THREAD EVER future of NL >:3
