Popular video game critic John Bain - known as TotalBiscuit and the Cynical Brit - has died aged 33.

He had terminal cancer in October 2015, and while he continued to critique games through the next few years, he formally retired from the job in April 2018 due to his failing health as his cancer had become untreatable. He died on 24 May 2018.

Did you guys watch any of his videos?

Yeah, I liked him. Didn't know he was sick. Hope his friends and family are coping best they can.

I hadn't heard about this. God rest his soul. Only watched a few of his videos, but his presense and influence both on Youtube's community, and certain circles of the industry and how they advertise were noticeable to me. May his legend never die.

He will definitely be missed. I was really into his videos back before the Cataclysm expansion of WoW hit.

Rest in peace, dear sir. My prayers are with his family.

Requiescat in pace.

You guys had me at blood and semen.

What better way to celebrate than firing something out of the pipe?

He was an awesome critic. I didn't always agree with everything he said, but he was a really cool guy. I enjoyed his content consistently. Cancer is a horrible way to die. I hope he went as painlessly as possible.

Yeah this news hit me pretty hard as well. I had been following him for 5-6 years, so I was well aware of his health issues but still... someone dying you like always comes as a shock.
