Oh the final Musihimesama boss is tough. In fact, it's one of the most difficult shooter bosses out there. Even on the regular setting it's brutal. I've never 1cc'd Mushihimesama. I can Dodonpachi now, but that's one of the few I can 1cc.
btw Sonic, welcome back, and may your behavior be godly!
@Corb - my best shmup is Dragon Blaze....can't 1cc it, but my friends say it's the most surreal to watch me play If you haven't played it, I'd recommend....a lot like Gunbird (I'm half convinced it's part of the series, but I'm not very well-learned as far as Psyko's concerned)
I have Dragon Blaze and both Gunbird boards. I love them. Psikyo did some great shmups. In fact, I need to run through Gunbird 2 again. Of the Cave games, the only ones I can 1cc are: Deathsmiles, Dodonapachi, Donpachi, and Muchi Muchi Pork.
Hell yeah man...I love their 101-200% run thing....I actually bought the turbo-inferior Mobile Light Force just to get a copy of GB1 legitimately (PSN PS1-download) Their bullet speed is quite possibly the most brutal out of all shooters I've played, esp pre-2000. Btw, nice covert-spelling correction
Repetition makes learning happen...Psiyko....Psiyko....Psyko...damn

I hate that I'm familiar with that game.....My current (and only) board is Hotdog Storm, and will always be, due to the prohibitively expensive cost of acquiring them (unless you get lucky and buy a probably-stolen board off Craigslist...)
I currently got back on Gradius V....loop 10 is one of the most beautiful things in gaming.

Dai Fukkatsu is bruuuuuuuuuuuuuutal....last stage needs to be meticulously planned....and Corb I'd take a look at G5...if you didn't know, Treasure developed it, and it has a much different feel than the older games in the series....totally takes the Bullet Hell hawtness Treasure is known for and marries it with the Gradius gameplay that, while solid, didn't age terribly well and definitley doesn't appeal to manic fans. I think you'd be surprised...unless you've already played and disliked that entry, in which case, I want the invitation to my birthday party back. And my Skittles.

Yay! I influenced Shmuppie McShmupster--check one in the my-ego-grew collumn. And yes, if you'd read my post more THOROUGHLY you'd know Treasure developed it. It's seriously a masterpiece....and I know how you love your sidescrollers, what with your consistent smiling at death.

That was supposed to be "Did Treasure develop it?" I just typed it wrong. Treasure co-developed it with Konami's KCET group. I was thinking it was co-developed by Treasure but not entirely. I just couldn't remember.
word, you're correct on the co-development thing w/ KCET...loved them ever since the first GBA castlevania. Hope you enjoy it--lemme know what ya think when it comes in
