as you know the DSi has 2 cameras. if you remember the E reader for the GBA you probably liked collecting E cards to play small games. would it be cool if that came back to the DSi? i could see a free app on DSi ware for E cards that would read E cards with the DSi camera and then take you right to the mini game would you want to re-live your mebory of the E-reador with the DSi? if they sold E reader cards for the DSi at your game stop or target? and what if they changed the name of e reader to i reader? it would be fun to trade i cards with your friends and at a trading card store

it would work E reader used a scanner for playing games! on viva pin yata! it uses the xbox 360 live camera to read the cards that have the diferant pinyatas on them. i reader would do the same!

Yes, I would download it, and however a GCN, e-Reader, cards (I've got Animal Crossing)... and a microphone and Odama (I've rented it before, but would like to own it sometime =D) at some point, however there may be other DSiWare to release first!

well it would be called i reader so it would make more since and the cards would be sold in packages like the original and there would be limited edition cards like game and watch cards. and balloon man cards also with DS dowload play playing together would be a blast!

I actually thought of something like this, does anyone remember "Bar Code Battlers?" I was thinking the camera could take a picture of a bar code and make a monster for you (I know its possible because cell phones can take pictures of those weird squares that you can use to access a site [on a lot of Japanese sites]) or there could be one for those website square things, but it wouldn't be coming here most likely because you don't see those much on english sites.

Nope. Most of the e-reader's meaningful games I already have. Would like to see some of the pokemon minigames appear for 200 points, though.

Using the camera to collect data? That's not a bad idea. Didn't something like that happen in "Before Crisis: Final Fantasy VII"? And I think the 360's camera thing can do that too.

I like the idea, I've no GBA, so I do not have an E-Reader for it, but I think Nintendo should make that!

@ legochesser. you can find one on ebay for a very good price. but first get some cards for it!
