I've looked these up on YouTube.

Harvest Moon GBC looks okay, but Legend of the River King looks absolutely AWESOME (random turn-based battles against snakes, yes please)!

This better come to Europe. It's my most wanted 3DS VC title that's actually been announced. >.<
Hopefully they dont sacrifice the clock system for restore points - restore points shouldn't be the priority! >:3

@RR529 - We'll probably need two seperate threads for these games. If you want to make another one for River King GBC, I'll change this one into Harvest Moon GBC. If not we can keep one thread until the games come out - which may be a while. :/

I think we should wait until these games actually come out in one region before talking about wanting them in others. There's a lot of games that have been announced for the VC, both Wii and 3DS, that have yet to come out. Just wait on it :)

Well, so far, only Natsume has announced them, (I think) and... As far as I know, they only take care of Harvest Moon/River King games in America.

I think I will pass on HM and wait for the sequels. You can't get married. I prefer the SNES version.

Meh. Never got married when I played through any of the 3 GBC games. I might have once, but it's such a waste of time and money - I just stick to the farm. :3

Well you didn't cause you can't... only in the 3rd game. The game ends if you get married as a girl though.

I read on another site that Harvest Moon was confirmed again for the end of the year. Can't wait! Though they Mentioned the GB version instead, which I think is a mistake as the GB is the same game as GBC.

I think the GBC version will be put up. Also looking more forward to River King. Never played it but looks cool from what I have seen. Replaying HM on the VC right now.

The GBC version was the one Natsume announced to be put up as far as I can remember, and to be honest they have little reason not to.

Well, the graphics on the GB version are on par with the SNES version (just in black and white) while in GBC they're pretty simplified.

Color is color though.

I felt the detail wasnt really necessary considering it was just black and white - made things harder to differentiate at times for me compared to the colour version. I'd be happy if they brought either of them to Europe though, they're both great. :3

I really hope Harvest Moon gets released soon (as in, between now and 30 days), it's the first game I thought of when Nintendo announced the 3DS would have a Virtual Console.

Nintendo confirming it themselves is great :D

This was the only part of the Nintendo Direct that dissapointed me because I wanted more 3DS VC games to be announced. But the announcement of Mario & Luigi Dream Team, Mario and Donkey Kong Minis on the Go, and Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D made up for this. :)

Classic Sonic will always be the number 1 Sonic! I think Modern Sonic's great but will never beat my original Classic Sonic.

Has anyone here played Harvest Moon GBC? I grew up on Friends of Mineral Town (which is awesome, btw) and I'm a little concerned that the GBC game doesn't have a mine, or cooking, or ore, or relationships or fishing and a lot of other things. So what exactly can you do in Harvest Moon GBC? If it's stripped all the way down to just a farming simulator, then I might just wait the obligatory year until Harvest Moon: A New Beginning is released in Australia :(

There is a mine and fishing, pretty sure you can cook too later in the game but no relationships in the game as far as I can remember, another thing is it has these little gnome like guys called sprites that if you are nice to and give them food and stuff; they will help take care of your farm which seems to run even when the game is off, the clock battery seemed to keep running if I remember right, so try not to bash the sprites on the head with a hammer or a pickaxe or they might become a little less co-operative.

I'm really hoping these games come to the Japanese VC soon too. We have our update tomorrow, so it would be nice to see if we get one of these games next week. I'm really looking forward to River King (known here as Kawa no Nushi Tsuri, specifically the 3rd in the series).

Unlike some of the news in the west that I've been seeing, I haven't seen many things pointing to this game coming out in Japanese, but then again, we tend to get surprised by the updates rather than knowing about them in advance. From what I've read on blogs, people are really wanting this game, but are unsure if its coming out or not.

Well, from what I know (and I'm very repetitive about this) only Natsume (who manages these games only in America) has announced them.
