Topic: My new 3ds xl keeps going left

So, I was playing luigi's mansion 1 for the 3ds and all of a sudden luigi kept turning left. When I went to the menu it kept going left. I think it's the d-pad that keeps going left because when I try to calibrate my joystick, it doesn't go left.

List of things I tried:

Removing the d-pad and turning the 3ds on didn't fix the issue. It was still going left.

I tried to format it but it didn't fix the issue. It was still going left.

I don't know what causes it but sometimes when I turn on my 3ds, it will stop going left just for like 2 hours and then it starts going left again. Also I can't replace my 3ds anymore because my brother had it for like 3 years and then I bought it from him. I bought luigi's mansion 1 for the 3ds and after like 1 hour of playing, luigi started turning left.

I had a problem like that with my 3ds and I busted it trying but it may be a chip in the 3ds that jacked up.
