Topic: 3ds black screen when loading games/apps

My son's 3ds began to black screen lately after trying to load original cartridge.

The OS boot normally. When I put the cartridge in the slot, the game appear normally. But when I touch the game, black screen occur after Nintendo 3DS logo.

Same thing happen with Mario Kart, Rayman, Asphalt 3d, lego city undercover and Pokemon X ... but with mario kart 7, I can see the Mario Kart 7 logo with the gear Rolling non stop.

Same thing happened with Camera app, and Pokemon Y (digital copy).

I tried to format the console, to remove the SD card, to replace the SD card with another 3ds, I opened the back lid to remove the battery 5 minutes... but blackscreen was back. I tried to swap wifi board, I've transfered all data/software from my other 3ds system... reformating for the third time... nothing changed.

Some games works normally (Stafox 3d, mario 3d land, super mario bros 2 and superhero squad works flawlessly)

Is another move I could try to repair this?

BTW, the 3ds is out of warranty.

And... If some games work and others don't... Don't you think the games may be the problem and not the console?

I really hope you didn'have any downloaded games. Don't format or tamper with stuff unless that's your last option, and even then, replacing the unit would be a better option.

Like I said, I've a digital copy of pokemon Y, and it's not working. Photo apps don't work, and all the games who don't work with this 3ds works flawlesly with my other 3ds.

As far as I know, formatting a system deletes its eshop data, so you probably lost that copy of pokemon.

I've transfered all data from the faulty 3ds to my other before formating. Waited 7 days, and re-transfert from the good 3ds to the faulty 3ds.

Don't worry... I've 5 DS systems in my home (2 3ds, 3 DS XL). I'm an Advanced user
