The problem a lot of fans are having IS NOT that he rated the game for what it is, based on the poor controls and other game features. No, the problem people are having with the reviewer is how he bashes on the whole concept and the community, frequently throwing in unnecessarily rude terms to refer to the fans of such games. Why even review a game that you are clearly dismissive and adverse to the general CONCEPT of? It is rightfully labelled as unprofessional and of course will solicit an angry response from many readers. The reviewer's choice of words used throughout the review just scream that he places himself on a high horse.
I don't know why the score is so low, I was skeptical but tried it out since it's on sale for $2, but I'm having a blast! The controls are very simple but the variety of enemies/fans and locations keeps it from being stale. The goal of upgrading your idol, getting higher scores, perfect completion, getting the outfits you want, unlocking new idols, and getting those sweet, sweet achievements and images keeps you playing. Plus, mowing down swathes of fans is extremely satisfying, the way they just fall and groan in unison. The music is pretty nice too, upbeat and fun.
Ok guys, there is NOTHING(!!!) wrong with Gavin's review! Unlike a certain other guy, he didn't make any moral-high-groundy insults towards potential fans, or jabs at the breasts (and when he mentioned the breasts in a negative way, it was purely because there was no variety in body type and/or breast size, which is perfectly fair to note), etc. Don't be upset just because a reviewer had a different experience than you or other reviewers. This game looks great and the girls are adorable/sexy, but the pinball part does seem lacking. That being said, of course anyone can still have fun especially if they're fans of the Senran Kagura series already. You shouldn't just "THIS IS WHY YOU SHOULD NEVER LISTEN TO NL!!!" but always read multiple reviews from a variety of sources to gather a more rounded opinion, then if you're interested, check the game out for yourself!

This reminds me of ASTROLOGASTER, a great little Elizabethan era astrology shenanigans game although a lot more serious/dark in tone than that.
