In Grotto, a new game coming to Switch later this year, you are the Soothsayer. People come to your cave, and ask you to say all kinds of sooths. Out of all of them, you are the only one that can read the future amongst stars and bones, and they need your help trying to figure out what will come to pass. You can tell them what you see... or you can withhold information for the greater good. Just don't be surprised if things go wrong.
The trailer is unhelpfully yet intriguingly vague, setting a creepy, mysterious tone but not exactly telling you what the game is about. Here's a small description from the developers:
Grotto is a mystical, narrative-focused experience. You are the Soothsayer. The one capable of talking with the stars and unveiling their messages. In a time of turmoil, the tribe of the valley turn to your powers of divination and come to you for guidance.
"Their fate will change according to your auguries," apparently, so you better be careful just what you predict, or you might accidentally kill everyone in the village. No pressure!
Grotto will be out on Switch towards the end of this year, some time between August and December.

The art style alone makes this an eventual purchase for me. I much prefer a striking, stylized art direction than realism, any day of the week.
Oooh this sounds like my jam.
Great art, I'm excited to see where this is going. :3
Any of you ever date a girl that's into astrology? It's incredibly annoying.
@JHDK Nope but then again why to check stars / astrology to do something? It's pointless and meaningless. I don't understand it. God can change our lives but not the ..stars..
Excellent sub-title quote!
The art style is really nice! Can't really decipher the gameplay from that trailer, but I'm intrigued.
I read the word Mystical and thought we were up for some Goemon news. Even though the picture had nothing to do with it. I'm desparate for a new Goemon game, or even a collection, okay?
Forsooth! I think if Kate Gray sooth sayed for us things would not go well for us!
@kategray came here to drop a hi five for the ESPN joke.
This reminds me of ASTROLOGASTER, a great little Elizabethan era astrology shenanigans game although a lot more serious/dark in tone than that.
