Perhaps it could happen. I’d say there’s a 50/50 chance. He could be dlc or they could just do a surprise announcement. I don’t think adding goku in “opens the floodgates.” At least goku is actually a recognized fighter compared to characters like shrek, and has many fighting video games. goku is basically one of Japan’s most recognizable mascots. People need to stop creating some unwritten rule that he can’t get in. Another thing is no he’s not too powerful. If we were going by this stupid rule, bayonetta, cloud, and Rosalina shouldn’t be in because they would just wreck everyone else honestly. If jigglypuff can fight bayonetta and win, other characters can fight goku. Sakurai can do whatever he wants. If cloud can get in, goku can get in. Finally, for those who say they won’t support or play smash ultimate if they put goku in, that is honestly the most sad and petty thing I’ve heard in my entire life. Sakurai has poured his blood, sweat, and tears into every entry of smash to make fans happy, and to say you won’t play it because they add one character in? Fine don’t play it. I wouldn’t want to play with such simple minded people anyway
