Can anyone point me to the guy who posts in here who was trying to arrange a refund for Splatoon because of the gameplay, lag compensation problems. I think he's a writer here but I#m searching and coming up blank. If memory serves me, he has a gingerbread and I thought that might be part of his handle too but hasn't helped with searches.
My Splatoon is worse than ever and Nintendo UK are a joke. I think they must be a team of foreigners with dictionaries in hand as they don't seem to understand a word I'm saying. Either that or they are script monkeys.
Can anyone help me? I bought Splatoon back in the summer and all this time I've been having lag, or lag compensation, issues. I tried the nintendo website for troubleshooting but there was no help there. I contacted customer services and they replied with a standard check your connection page but didn't answer my actual problems. I tried them again and they sent me a dead link. Then when I told them about that they sent me a customer satisfaction survey which was also a dead link. I've looked online but whenever someone says they have issues they seem to be attacked for having a bad connection but I'm an experienced gamer with a good connection that has been thoroughly tested. It just seems that I can't go a single game without encountering people killing me when they have their backs to me or similar. I've had the awful lag experiences of paint not covering the floor or the other team being able to move through our teams paint as if it wasn't there, etc, etc. But these seem to have got better noe. Only if there are a lot of foreign players does it sometimes come back but then, nothing as bad as it used to be and I can allow for it but it is much better now than it ever was. I think I must be going mad. It's like the lag compensation isn't adequate so that what's happening on screen is always a few seconds behind. I get shot and then people come out of hiding in ink form and fire but they've already killed me. Or I'm coming up behind someone and die then they turn round and shoot me. There doesn't seem to be anyway to resolve it. I'm wondering whether this is due to my having very fast visual processing (it's been tested) as I have always been able to see problems like this in other games before others can but why is it happening only in this game? I can only play 2 games before I get fed up with what I can see on screen being obviously behind the action. I have to say I can see these problems on clips on youtube where others aren't mentioning it but on the clips of the testing of the game when Nintendo were using there own servers, there's not a hint of it. Blah! Any ideas?

Re: Splatoon's Next Update Is On Target For Launch Tomorrow
@OorWullie Thanks for that. I'll look into it, though I just found this video which leaves me to believe it's not going to be fixed anytine soon.

The game has definitely got better in terms of extreme lag but it's still not playable because of this small scale stuff.
Oh and thanks for the reply @Shikinouta
Re: Splatoon's Next Update Is On Target For Launch Tomorrow
@Shikinouta Oh and Speedtest to a random Tokyo server got me 250ms ping, 5.78Mbos and 0.52Mbps.
Re: Splatoon's Next Update Is On Target For Launch Tomorrow
@Shikinouta Ping 12ms, 13.45Mbps, 1.24Mbps
Used speedof.me for this second one as it's more real world accurate (for me) and got Ping 16ms, 14.58Mbps, 1.27Mbps.
Re: Splatoon's Next Update Is On Target For Launch Tomorrow
@Shikinouta it is ethernetted as I have solid concrete walls which aren't kind on WiFi.
Thanks for the response though.
Re: Splatoon's Next Update Is On Target For Launch Tomorrow
Oh, I'm in the U.K if that makes any difference.
