@WaffleRaptor01 That's a fair point. The metaphor fails when stretched. My point was that inflation is plain to see in fuel, groceries, utilities, etc., and it shouldn't be too surprising (even though it's upsetting) that prices for non-essentials also increase. After all, Nintendo is paying for fuel and utilities, and its employees are buying groceries - perhaps the $70 price for AAA games will result in more pay for Nintendo developers and other employees, meaning more grocery money in their pockets.
@DripDropCop146 I've been buying AAA games for Nintendo consoles since the 90s, and they were almost always $59.99. I think some really big SNES RPGs retailed for more.
My switch is from launch day in 2017, so I'm ready for an upgrade. I passed on the version with the new battery, but now I'm ready. I really like the white dock and joy-cons.
Original Switch will become the dedicated Ring Fit Adventure machine for the family room in the basement.

@ElRoberico Inflation is enough of a reason, IMO. The dollar is worth significantly less than it was five years ago.

When Breath of the Wild came out it was $60.
A dozen eggs was $1.40. Now a dozen eggs is $4.99, and I'm still buying them.
So yes, I'll pay $70 for Tears of the Kingdom.
Re: Looking For A Luxurious New Case To Protect Your Nintendo Switch OLED?
I'm looking for a playing case, not a carrying case. Haven't had much luck yet.
Re: Poll: The Nintendo Switch OLED Is Out Today, Are You Getting One?
@Judgedean shorter power cord? Hmm. That could be trouble.
Is the OLED dock's power cord compatible with the original dock and vice versa?
