@RupeeClock because he objectively has ruined the series by changing it from a intelligent, hilarious, and mechanically deep turn based Mario RPG into a gimmick/puzzle based combat game with the occasional laugh. All the games post super paper Mario are not "paper Mario games".
Tanabe is also responsible for the dreadful plot and world building of Prime 4. The fact that he still has his job proves that Nintendo is doomed for another Wii U failure cycle.
