didn't they do this for street fighter alpha series on psx? there was a story mode of a sort (kind of like an RPG) where you collect stats along the way. it was a neat idea and could have been expanded.
notice how gameboy just got smaller. today it gets bigger (the XL models). regardless the resolution was very low so there would be more pixel blur and general blocky pixelation. i wonder if he could beat thor ackerlund, the kid who won the nintendo world championships in 1990. i know for a fact that steve is not even on the scoreboard compared to the japanese players i have seen on youtube. those kids AND adults alike will blow anyone away from america. have you seen those tetris players? steve looks like a little kid in front of them, first discovering a toy. they are the true masters at this game, not steve. checkout justin vs. daigo on youtube
inafune does not own the mega man IP. he made it while he was working for capcom. this was the similar issue in the mattel barbie dolls vs. bratz doll case.
there are more tablet owners than DS owners. the game is much cheaper (and some are free for the first level) on the tablets and iOS. who wants to pay $50 for a five dollar app? most games on the DS are also worth no more than $5 to $10 as they are junk shovelware or flash game upgrades. so no, it wouldn't have been better on the DS for the company because nintendo would make it exclusive and the publisher would lose lots of money. miyamoto is an idiot. oh and jealous too. sounds like his bitter days when grand theft auto vice city lit the ps2 on fire and n64 and gamecube were kiddy systems (the new wii systems are just as kiddy).
the average american household has more than 2 tv sets. using the excuse that the tv set may be needed for watching tv is from the 1950s. a tv today costs $100. every viewer has his or her own unit. people are giving away FREE tv's on craigslist. what a pathetic excuse. dual screen is an overkill gimmick like virtual boy
apart from the fact that he attacked video games as a hodge podge of nonsense, he was just another lucky basement kiddy with a webcam (yes i know, he used a VHS or betacam camcorder back then but i am making a similar analogy) who was able to get himself on broadcast media. how was this old man any different from the thousands of informed reviewers we now see online on youtube, vimeo and so on? he wasn't. we can have this discussion without being nasty, thank you — TBD
too bad this game won't be sold at the retail level. you can't display, sell, trade or see it. it's just a bunch of ones and zeroes inside of metal container. make a retail version! it WILL sell!
mike did a review of this on the angry video game nerd's website. it was a great arcade game. finally seeing home release although i wouldn't touch it. downloadable games don't exist, they are just vaporware and can't be traded or resold or displayed. what a shame.
if we all downloaded games, we wouldn't see the angry video game nerd's basement game collection. instead it would be a bunch of consoles with patched up releases of games sold as DLCs when they were just incomplete. lame.
most of the disney games were bad. the mickey mouse game was really bad. others were lackluster. only ducktales was really great. maybe chip n dale but the play control was way too lose.
@bofis uh, the POKEMON franchise and the gameboy kept nintendo alive during the N64 years. you are a fool if you think the N64 had any success against psx. it was nintendo's worst system outside of virtual boy which was an experiment.
too bad game genie won't come to virtual console. it makes all games so much more fun because you don't have to worry about running out of weapons or dying.
@Savino you said it best. i went to a wedding once where the cake tasted like room temperature butter without salt. in other words, animal fat. no flavor, nothing. it was awful. most wedding cakes built this way without flavor are terrible and only for looks. useless
@BenAV this game is cheaper than a pack of wrigley's juicy fruit. so yeah, how can you go wrong? i would wait for titles like mario 1 and mach rider (i would buy it to play and make fun of it). balloon fight reminds me too much of the 80s as it is just too stale a game today. it has aged poorly.

unique game and innovative in the 2D genre. let's see more games like this today instead of CoD rehashes!

mac osx emulates windows. emulators are legal. as long as you use real software or legal roms, you aren't breaking the law. there is no lawsuit here.
