Re: Nintendo's Ability To Ban Switch 2 Consoles Has Landed It In Hot Water

@Denoloco yes, by dmca exemption it's legal to make (1) back up for personal use as long as the original copy remains in your pocession and 2) you don't distribute it by any means nintendo seems to think otherwise and has (yet) tried to lobbty for change (which I'm glad for) also on emulators the precident from Sony V Bleem still stands to this day making emulators legal as long as the emu is clean roomed reverse engineered (basicly 2 teams work on it one studies how the real hardware work takes notes, 2nd team reads notes and builds an emulator devoid of illegal code and keys (so no looking at leaked SDK's just using coding talent), I'd like to point out Team Ninja is in the wrong (programming studio of the dead or alive series) for including Reverse engineering is prohibited by law) in their piracy warning which is false (if done right see above)

@NFrealinkling that's not the Issue, the issue is that these banned switch 2's are being resold on the second hand market creating innocent victims here basicly due to nintendo's neglect (and not thinking of this outcome) they are causing a problem, (already can think of your responce "then don't buy used"

2 problems to your argument there

the switch 2 is already expensive (even more so in Brazil ,just type "how much is the switch 2 in brazil?" (I'm not giving you the answer you know how to google) so a lower priced used unit is more appealing in a weaker economy
and 2 if you reread the article some switch 2's that are banned are being returned and not checked for said ban (some smaller shops/chains (ie Gamestop) do check for bans on returns/trade ins walmart does not it seems and restocks the banned units at full MSRP poisoning their stock

Re: Nintendo Is Hard At Work To Prevent Future Leaks

depends on what you mean by "leak" info may dry up yes but games breaking street date online probably not (at least until the next gen console where denuvo's drm may be implimented or if new security measures are done switch security is too weak to impliment drm like on pc games I mean the wiiu cdn is still an open book until they shut it down 100%
