@Bermanator But it'll hurt tremendously when the day comes that they shut down the servers where the mandatory download comes from. That renders the game useless.
@Investor9872 Nope, not passing, and not getting outraged over phenomenal games coming to the Switch. I even like that SM64 is true to the original graphics and art, but improved over the original 240p resolution we played it in 25 years ago. I pre-ordered two physical copies, one to play and one to keep pristine in packaging.
@Dodger I do see your point that video games may be considered by some parents as a waste of time and money in the pursuit of their kids' life skills. However, Miyamoto contends that those same parents will allow their kids to watch Disney. Passively watching TV is far less useful in the pursuit of life skills than actively working on hand-eye coordination, fine motor skills, reaction, some games' deep decision making, critical thinking, puzzle solving, handling adversity/winning/losing, and cooperative teamwork and/or competitive competition. How could a large number of parents see these skills as less useful than passive TV watching?
A counter limit won't ever bother anybody who knows anything about programming. What bothers me, though, is this limit is a base 10 number instead of a base 2 number. That makes it likely an artificial ceiling instead of a technical one.
If it's online only, as the last paragraph suggests, not interested. If I have the options of solo campaign, couch co-op, couch competitive... I'm intrigued.
Soon after the Wii shop shutdown, this is yet another example of why going away from physical copies of games is terrible. Everybody who got an Ouya won't be able to re-download the games (THEY PAID FOR!) if they ever need to, and they better hope the games they do have don't require online authentication! The day physical games go away in favor of digital or streaming is the day I never buy a new console again and can start spending the rest of my life catching up on all the classics I missed in the 90s and early 2000s.
I had no problem getting an official Nintendo dock for like $30 at my local Gamestop. I also ordered a 3rd party dongle dock on Amazon, perfect for traveling and no bricking issues. Every TV in my house has a dock, and I have only one console.

@Grot The whiners likely aren't old enough to have experienced the difference between the original SMB games on NES and the All-Stars game on SNES.

@Sculptor We all look forward to your remaster of these games.

Re: Random: Astral Chain Is Filled With Hidden Toilets And "Lots Of Cats"
I get that the final paragraph is to increase user engagement, SEO, blah blah blah, but at least have some good questions if you're doing it!
"So, what do you think about Astral Chain now that you know you can search for cats and toilets?"
What do you expect? Answers like... I was on the fence with this game, but now knowing I can search for cats and crappers, it's a MUST HAVE!
