This game should NOT have been on the Virtual Console at all! Urban Chumpion is not only the worst Nintendo game ever made, but also the WORST game ever in the history of Nintendo. I will admit that I played the game a bit farther a few years back, but this garbage is NOT worth spending $5 for your Wii.
To Adam: Metal Slug on the Virtual Console is redundant and MS Anthology is already out. I have Metal Slug Anthology on Wii, but it's a taste of what SNK Playmore will do with Virtual Console.
Finally, SNK Playmore confirmed the arrival of Neo Geo on the North American Virtual Console. Yes, 900 Wii Points was the implication that Ben Herman (president of SNK Playmore USA) stated in pricing the NG games above the SNES and Genesis games. Well, he never mentioned Genesis in his IGN interview, so I brought it up.
Streets of Rage 2 is the BEST in the trilogy with a great soundtrack composed by THE legend in video game music, Yuzo Koshiro. SOR2 is not only everyone's favorite (and mine) in the series, but also Koshiro's favorite as he delivered a memorable soundtrack. Great levels, special moves from each character, and better gameplay than the first. Streets of Rage 2 simply owns the SNES version of Final Fight. A timeless Genesis classic that must be played!
I've always beaten the game on the Hard Venom (after seeing the Easy ending), yet I didn't collect all of the medals. Needless to say, I'm lucky to have owned the N64 version. The showcase game to use the Rumble Pak; force-feedback matters when you boost, crash, or witnessing all those bosses explode. Unfortunately, Nintendo should have taken advantage by allowing the GC controller to rumble. Due to Nintendo's anti-seisure stance, the VC emulation of Star Fox 64 has changed from red hit flashes (originally in the N64 version) to black. Regardless, it's a must play along with Sin and Punishment...
I still have the original N64 version and it is so tough to beat the Expert track. The graphics and gameplay were and still great. Even the physics are real; the wave effects are accurate despite how difficult they were programmed on the system.
There's a bit of bad news in Japan. According to SNK Playmore's Neo Geo World website, the release of Fatal Fury has been delayed to an unspecified date due to technical problems...
To Darren Scantlebury-Watson: Blast Corps is a Rareware game. So far, only Donkey Kong Country 1 and 2 made it to the Virtual Console because DK is Nintendo's intellectual property.
The Nintendo 64 was the reason Square Soft (now Square Enix) went to make Final Fantasy games for the PlayStation. The cartridges were limited, blurry graphics and not enough third-party support. Still, the N64 had great classics: Super Mario 64, Star Fox 64, Wave Race 64, Banjo-Kazooie, Kirby, the Zeldas.

Re: Magician Lord
I can't believe SNK Playmore replaced Magician Lord with Art of Fighting for the North America region of Neo-Geo VC...

Re: Neo Geo confirmed for US Virtual Console
To Mii be you: There were SIX Metal Slug games on the Neo-Geo. Metal Slug 1-5 and X; only MS6 ran on Atomiswave.

Re: News explosion: Neo Geo and more!
Will the Neo Geo games be based on either the arcade or home versions (AES games had limited continues)?
Re: Sin & Punishment heads our way
This needs to be released in the North American region... That way Nintendo can make it up for not doing so in 2001.
