@those with 1001 spikes: Right there with you, but wouldn't put in my top ten for Wii U, because I played it exclusively on my 3ds, but it is fantastic! My top ten for Wii U(which its hard to pick just ten) are:
1) Shovel Knight 2) Guacamelee 3) Scram Kitty 4) Castlestorm(Seriously, how did no one have this game in their top ten? This game is so fun and addicting!) 5) Runner 2 6) Teslagrad 7) UnEpic 8) Nano Assault Neo 9) Cloudberry Kingdom 10) Lone Survivor
Honorable mentions: Electronic Groove City 1/2, Giana Sisters, Runbow, Affordable Space Adventures, Child of Light, Shantae PC, Mighty Switch Force HD, The Fall, AVGNA, Little Inferno, and Freedom Planet
I could probably list more, some for creativity(like Blek), and some for just pick up and play fun(like Sportsball), but the fact is there are just SO MANY good eshop games on the Wii U it is actually a bit ridiculous, but very welcome.

This game was so much fun!) 12) NintendoLand 13) Sega All Stars: Racing Transformed/Need for Speed: Most Wanted U(tie) 14) NSMBU(I 100%ed this game, but not nearly inspired as it should have been, though best in the series by far) 15) Hyrule Warriors 16) Wonderful 101(Controls made this hard to get into, need to go back and try again, Viewtiful Joe is in my top 5 all time, and this really feels quirky like that) 17) Pikmin 3(Havent given this the time it probably deserves, thats why so low) 18) Darksiders 2 19) Zombi U 20) NES Remix
