I fail to see how this is a big deal.

The Google Playstore and Amazon Appstore have had various emulators for years now.

Also, emulators themselves are legal provided they don't contain copyrighted material (OS or ROMs for example).
Yes, you can illegally download ROMs, but you can also download homebrew or even dump ROMs yourself.

The only thing Ninty could do sue-wise would be the use of NES in the name.

Why are more exploits being made at this point?

We already have a ton of popular games with exploits atm.

I'm wondering why people are making all the Hax exploits.

Just buy Ocarina of Time 3D. ;P

Hackers only took advantage of the 3DS' security issues.

@BensonUii Yeah, people do use it to pirate games (Hence the generalization), but there's other uses.

Custom themes is one of them.
Also Smash 4 mods. Custom textures and music are always nice.

There's also emulators but people usually illegally download ROMs.

Also these hackers aren't malicious.
At worst they're selfish.

When will people realize that there's more to homebrew than pirating games?

Good to see that people are still generalizing homebrew and it's users in a purely negative light.
