Re: Anniversary: Capcom's Breath Of Fire Series Is 30 Years Old, And We Miss It

Please bring the franchise back Capcom. The GBA ports with their quality of life features were fantastic helping get me into "proper" RPGs and though I was never able to try the original Playstation pair I did manage to get my hands on Dragon Quarter. The soundtrack always makes a killing and I'm forever sad I was never able to afford it though I did manage to get the artbook on launch.

Still annoyed how few sales (And often region specific) there were at the end. With the exception of the Boxboy series and GBC Puzzle League refused to grab anything without a discount, that also meant no Radiant Historia which had a low print run in europe that I really wanted both times but alas. Still funny how Culdcept's sale price went UP for the final sale tho.

@Fabaroo

I originally played them completely separately particularly S&K! Apart from some sound effects getting replaced (I believe something else was changed as well but I forget what it was top of my head) it'd just be nice to have the option to play it as the weird bit of history they are and wouldn't take anything away from the complete package. Bit of a more cakes situation and personal preference

It's def one for the fans only (Mean I will get it when it's on a budget I want my boys back and to muck about on Go Go Sushi) but yeah it's very bare bones game with clear love for the franchise it's self but not the quality it should have been sadly.

The artwork incidentally is based/if not directly using the original concept art for the series so they are in fact very accurate, said art was often reused as contact screens too.

@brandonbwii Personally I do recommend it. From the humble beginnings with Jim and Toby being thrown into this world and trying to navigate everything while still trying to be ordinary teens, morally grey characters, good mix of humour and drama plus the horror (Del Toro influences that really come to town later) and particularly with the latter of Season 2/3, that awful realisation that nobody is safe.

The Season 1 trailer gives you a good idea what the first half of Season 1 is like.

@KitsuneNight You can flip between the original illustrations and the photo mode that was added for this version. Why they've only shown screenshots of the photo mode and not the original I've no idea.

As for the review, I'm honestly struggling to take it seriously as it just felt like a mocking vent? It's fine not enjoying a visual novel but I'd rather know about the game over reading what you'd snark to your mates about.

All nice and good until you get blacklisted from the industry for whistleblowing. Employees former and current are terrified to come forward throughout the video games industry because it is absolutely rife with doing this and lack of protection for them coming forward if they're not anonymous.

Many companies know they're in the wrong and is why they NDA their workers to ensure they keep their mouths shut along with the blacklist threat. Getting the word out via the media is the only chance these workers have on having blatant toxicity having the spotlight on it for the world to see, the industry would rather play the denial card until it burns much like Telltale and the current lootbox gambling finally getting a big hitting report released yesterday here in the UK.

As much as I dislike Kotaku, Jason is doing what should be expected of proper investigative journalism and bringing the garbage out for all to see.

Re: Random: This Morpeko Reversible Pokémon Plush Is Adorable But Very Expensive

It's handmade and custom and as such higher prices should be expected particularly if the quality is up there which it does look. Setting up patterns, getting the materials and the experience to make does not come cheap.

Prices will likely even out more as more peeps produce their own versions, the fastest (That can also back it up) usually get to set the bar.
