We have been informed that the hamster-cars are actually guinea pig cars. We regret the error.

Pui Pui Molcar is a must-watch if you enjoy stop-motion animation, fluffy things, or just want to find out more about an alternate universe in which cars are hamsters. Or vice-versa. It's as confusing as it is adorable.

A tie-in game, Pui Pui Molcar Let's Molcar Party!, has been announced for Switch in Japan and Asia, with a release date of December 16th.
The game, as the title implies, is all about partying: your Molcars (that's the hamster vehicles) find a flyer advertising a place called "Moltown", which promises carrots galore (that's what hamster vehicles eat) only to let them down when the Molcars discover that it is, as Bandai Namco puts it, "a barren burg".

With the power of partying, the Molcars can restore the town to its former glory, which takes the form of ten minigames that you can play with up to four players. There are over 40 Molcars in the game, and you can feed them, pet them, and put little hats on them, just like a real car.
There are a few early purchase bonuses for the physical edition, as well as a collector's edition that includes a plushie.
Although the game is Asia-only, there is an English-language option.

Correction for you, they're guinea pig cars not hamsters.
THEY KEPT THE SOUND EFFECTS that alone delights me
@Wool_Sheep thank you
Such a happy little series ^_^
Hoping this means they'll be doing a second season!
Awww...... Hamster car ?? 😃😃😃
Looks cute.
@Wool_Sheep mmmm Guinea Pigs! Here in Peru guinea pig is a common dish (Cuy), not very different in taste than rabbit!
Ah, been looking for something similar to Initial D, is this it?
They’re pretty Cute…
@BloodNinja
I hope it has Super Eurobeat song from Pui Pui Molcar. 😁
@KateGray I thought they were hamsters, too, until I figured out the meaning behind the name. For the record (because SO MANY people are keeping track), in Japanese guinea pigs are called "モルモット", or "molmot" because people a long time ago were dumb (side note: people are still dumb) and thought they were the same animals as marmots, which explains where the "mol" in "Molcar" and "Moltown" comes from. I don't know if that's better or worse than something like "guinecar". At any rate, time to go put a tiny hat on my car.
@Anti-Matter I would adore that
Wait they eat carrots? Has to be cheaper than gas. Does Toyota sell a model? I need a truck though.
Friendship ended with frog in a car. Now Guinea Pig car is my best friend 🐹 Wheek wheek wheek!
my very own CHAMSTER?? Yes please!!! The cuteness is insane and those squeaky sounds are the best!!
This series also got a Tamagotchi crossover recently. Seems it’s doing quite well, which makes me happy. I don’t need this game, but... it’s so adorable, I really, really want it lol. And with an actual English option it would be easy to play... Not like the time I imported a bunch of Mamegoma DS games and had to stumble my way through, lol.
HA HA HA HA HA its SO CUTE!
Damn, I might have to get this as soon as I saw the video it made me smile. Especially as the "wheels" are actually feet.
As its Asia only, hopefully Play Asia will have it
