@iphys considering a person from the losing team can only get up to 12 snails while a person from the winning team can get up to 24, I can see why you would want to win.

@pikminfan22 its an event where you pick a side, then battle the other side with special matchmaking to gain points for your team. you also have a splatfest rank for each one. you gain up to 12 super sea snails for ranking up and if your team wins, the snails you win are doubled (so you can get up to 24 snails in the end.) (thanks scamander for the clarification on how the snails are awarded.)

@scamander thanks! I was just basing my theory off of what I had, which was the direct. So thanks for clarifying!

I am most excited to snag a few snails and so I can get the last 3 songs in squid beats. plaza (splatfest), splatfest battle, and one minute remaining (splatfest).

Plus, seeing the stages at night will be cool.

@Shiryu based off the splatoon direct, it seems you get 1-2 per splatfest rankup and I am guessing the winning side gets 2 extra.

Capcom... Just give us the first AA themes. I would buy at least the pixel sprite one.
