@idkmyname, I totally agree with you. It's sad reading all of the comments saying that you're incorrect because key cards have value because you can trade them or resell them. So many people have drunk the Kool-Aid, helping a billion-dollar company get away with yet another anti-consumer product. Game keycards exist so Nintendo doesn't have to manufacture different sizes of game cartridges, plain and simple. Then they fed everyone the line about being tradable and resellable. Who's buying game key cards? Someone tell me what Gamestop is offering for SF6 or Hitman.
Also, for those claiming that PS4 and PS5 do the same thing, do your research, that's false. Console gaming is supposed to be different from PC gaming, and part of that is physical media and ownership. As we continue to give in, imagine how it will be when you can only buy digital or game keycards. The only storefront you have is the one run by the platform holder, and they decide to not offer any sales, etc.
