@Nicolai I backed them as well, but thankfully 2D is less of a burden than 3D so I can guarantee you won't be waiting two years!
As for the Wii U release, it probably will end up coming out a bit later, partly because of the porting process, partly because of Nintendo's approval processes, but also partly because we'll be adding some additional Wii U features! We'll have more details on that during the campaign. But even so, it should only be a few extra months at most.
@Nicolai Aww, not forever! We just added two new programmers so things are gonna be flying, trust me. We're pretty confident we can release in the fall, that's not too long!
The bigger concern at the moment is getting funded! Share with your friends and show us a little love!
@andrea987 "Lovely concept, I just wish someone would make something like that, only three-dimensional." To be honest, we totally agree! One day... one day...
@Artwark This trailer focuses more on all of the options that the player has, but in real gameplay, you can't play an entire level that way. Your weapons and magic are both limited, so you can't rely on them to get you through every encounter. Many of the weapons become mostly useless when you've been spotted too, since an aware enemy will swat away your projectiles and attempts to squish his noggin. It's a fair question, but don't worry, stealth is very much central to the game!
Releasing in different regions in general depends on the costs, specifically for getting the game rated which can be quite expensive. From what I'm reading, Australia has a new program that allows digital games to be rated for free, so in that case, it's looking much more likely! No promises unfortunately, but we'll try our best.
@shaneoh Our hidden cameras have been doing quite well for us. Keep up the good work!
@Kroisos I wouldn't worry about that! Most large Kickstarters are asking for money so the developers can quit their jobs while still having food and a house, but we're in a situation where that isn't an issue. The money we need is purely for software licenses and hardware, which are one time costs! Even if the game takes a bit longer to make than expected, we don't have to worry about running out of money and being out on the streets.
@Kasplat We ARE aiming for an E, actually! We hope to make a game that will feel right at home next to Mario, one of our biggest inspirations. Gore is out of the question, but satisfying sound effects (and visual effects) are definitely on the list. Hopefully our E-rated mayhem is enough for you!
