I recall reading EGM and they teased the 64DD with DLC disks...roster updates, game engine updates, all for a fraction of the cost of the initial game.
@ModdedInkling I’d be very okay with the NHL 94 port with modern rosters, logos, and rules that they did with Xbox and PlayStation as a $5-10 purchase.
I rented an N64 from Blockbuster for the launch weekend and ended up purchasing one that week. Wasnt hard to find in October, but games....HA! I was on a waiting list with Babbages for months to get Cruis'n USA.
Super Mario 64, Cruis'n, and Wayne Gretzky's 3D Hockey was all we had for months. You bet your ass we found every secret!
@tabris95 man, i have been looking for this comment!
Great games! I had the first one from Gold and the second on Gamepass. I like the second one a lot. The first, the camera could use an update, even on the series X, its gittery. I have 38 bees in the second one and that last level man, whoa!!! It is impossible, even the less impossible one!
Buy it at the season's end! I have picked up FIFA 20 for $5.99 at BestBuy. FIFA 21 for $7.99 on Amazon.
Just to play a few games with friends online.
It is a horrible simulation, but it is fun to play with friends.
If anyone is old enough to remember NFL 2K5....that game whooped Madden's tail. EA bought up the licenses and took their ball and went home, not allowing anyone to play.
This is what happens when you preorder games and buy these pitiful sequels year after year.
I have spent many hours in Splatoon 2 only to stop. Great game but there were some exploits to get unlimited booster tickets and that kinda ruined it for me.
@Clarice hahahaha!! I liked the second one. Never tried the first on the GC. I was too busy w Metroid and Sunshine.
I hated the 3DS controls but can’t wait to crack open the 3rd. I have a strict rule when it comes to first party story line games. Buy them for $40 and don’t open them until you’ve completed the one(s) before. Finding the 3rd flame in skyward sword so maybe a month out?
Man, I tried to get into Tropical Freeze on Switch, I really did. Level design was good, it was challenging, but just didnt have anything to wow me or suck me in.
Lent it to some friends when they got their systems and they all said the same. DK Country....those games rule. I don't get it.
Just play Fast RMX by Shin'en. They are basically an exclusive 3rd party to Nintendo. Likely as a barometer to see if this old IP would do well...it will!
Could also be Nintendo is shy on racers after the N64 since 50% of the games on that system were racers it seemed for the first 18 months of launch, but that is what you get when you have 4 controller ports!

Re: Random: 22 Years Ago Today The Nintendo 64DD Had More Online Features Than Switch
@LuigiBlood yup! I recall the F-Zero and Ura Zelda for Japan, slipped my mind about that when I commented.
Just remember them talking about how it could be possible to update the recently released FIFA 64 with new rosters.
Man, what a bad game FIFA 64 was, but damn it was so much fun and crazy to play at the time.

Re: Video: The Wii Turns 15 This Year, And Here Are Our Memories
My favorite thing about the Wii was progressive scan widescreen for the GameCube with standard component cables.
Re: UK Charts: Black Friday Deals See Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Back At Number One
Give us DLC!!! Even if they are all the old tracks, just give us something different to play
Re: UK Charts: Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Takes Switch Lead As Metroid Dread Drops To Seventh
The install base for MK8 Deluxe is like what…45 million?
Can we get some DLC and keep this train running? Literally every switch gets Mario Kart or Animal Crossing when bought now.
Nintendo LOVES money, so how about some DLC that’s not for the mobile game? Geeez…just port the mobile game to the Switch version! We’ll gladly pay!
Re: Review: FIFA 22 - Another Match Abandoned
@Gs69 They will argue the hardware can't push their Frostbite engine which it can, fully, based on this EA blog.
Just get it together and scale down the resolution!

Re: Talking Point: What Games Are You Looking Forward To Playing On Switch OLED?
I have a 65” OLED.
The only place I play the Switch in portable mode is…well…never.
Re: Random: Donkey Kong Blows? Of Course, And It's All Down To Shigeru Miyamoto
@tabris95 the first one is Games w Gold and the second one is on GamePass.
Downloaded them and I’ll check them out tomorrow. Thanks for looking out! They both look fun
Re: Random: Donkey Kong Blows? Of Course, And It's All Down To Shigeru Miyamoto
@tabris95 thanks for the suggestion!! I have game pass and I’ll check it out!

@LUIGITORNADO I couldn't get through the first one so I never gave the second a go. Too many odd camera angles for me!
