Congrats on getting one as well. I had the same problem with the 40th collection as ravenous, but I secured a pro2, console, case and game about 4 tries in.

What goes around comes around in a way as im selling my day one sw2 to my ex / best mate as they wanted a sw1 and I just said future wise she'd be better off "helping" me and having protection of another potential 7 years of use co pared to a sw1 hehe.

@Arkmana I was over the moon to get one in my basket several times on the Nintendo store only for the site to crash each time and then have to resort to very... so you were better off beibg at work, really in my experience 🤭

@Anachronism yep... makes metroid ravenous DE's, zelda switches and apparatus seem more like tap water than the gold that is pokemon cards.

I mean I get the collecting and playing aspect. Used to attend comic marts etc as a kid and collect simpsons / x files cards (as a main), so remember when they were the "hot commodity", but people weren't literally flipping tables over and wrestling just to get a metallic foil Dana Scully with "The truth is out there" embossed on it.

The people who behave like that are either the problem, or learning it from the problem to begin with, as its sadly the only way to "win".

I'd love to be able to get a set to rip live on a YouTube thing, even if i only have 10 viewers, ask what theyre worth and if i pulled a rare or super rare equivalent just ask the viewer to link me a "price" and id say you know what? I paid 5 quid for this pack. Send me a fiver for p and p and its yours.

The only problem being if that person was a scalper. Even with not scalping, you could still be feeding the machine, which theh creates more contempt. I have no logical and realistic idea as to how this can be stopped.

Not bragging at all but I got my zelda stuff (selling old stuff to friend - trying to save them some money ended up with me spending an hour or so trying to get a console, which in a way is dumb!), and fingers crossed, this for my own collection; so much appreciated. 👊

@Cero yeah i kind of agree. They don't even need an open pre order. Just like the sw2, if you played say 10/20 hours across any metroid game / games you could have ordered it. Surely that would have resolved part of the problem?

I missed out on Dagdan collection because of random drops everywhere, and now I miss out on this. I refuse to pay scalper prices, so standard edition it is for me, at the cheapest place I'll find.

@msm2000 yeah mine is too. Wanted to get the full collection, have thw console in basket, wont let me add anything else unless I sign in. Get a too many attempts error if I try and sign in and get a server error if I try and check out with what I have.

Too many log in attempts after pressing sign in once. Gotta love nintendo. Get console launch relatively right, get second "version" absolutely wrong!

@StewdaMegaManNerd agreed, and sarcastically, I'd like to say they can just put disc 3 of the original one onto a GKC. Just throw a few white / black "ghosts" (trying to stay spoiler free) that pop up now and again in it, and jobs a good'un.

As im trying to sell my pro atm ive committed to that by buying the GKC version for switch 2. No platinum for this one to prove how great I am at the game, and I don't care 🤣 just gonna play the story and anything else I'm happy with and once I'm done, its gonna be sold.

Thanks for the small explanation though, I can get how little things like the start like seem a lot like a previous one, as its always basically the "tutorial" section and obviously the set up of the stories are generally the same.

I persinally never played a link to the past until many years later, and i still don't think it was a remake? But I guess we could argue all Mario's are just a remake to some extent. Depends on how one as an individual interperates it whikst playing. Not dissing uou, but I really didnt see it.

And as it was the 1st one I played all the way through and beat it's my favourite, so I'm looking forward to it, whether its a 1:1 remake or not, as ive only beaten it twice (I'm not one to play again and again to "master" the game, and seldom play the same game twice), and a fresh coat of paint will obviously do some wonders.

Glad you said you still enjoyed it though, considering you said it was your least favourite. Some people would have been out for blood without your explanation / reasoning 🤣

@Lumnethia to add to everyone else, MK8D is a lot more of a challenge as well; i 3 starred everything on world in a month or so and barely go back to it; still working on 8D... so if challenge is your thing, along with what everyone else has said positively about it, I'd seriously consider getting both it and the expansion pass.

May have already been said, so now MK8D is the definitive MK on switch 2?

•I dont know the size of my memory card, so guessed. It's either 256 or 512.
•My worst NSW2 purchase was that piranha plant camera (even worse than welcome tour!).
•My Digital vs Physical collection at 8/8 is skewed, as i have some physical and digital, so I'm hardly a "standard user".

As ive gone down the rabbit hole of the "adult" (avert your dirty minds!) of the mario themed sets and purchased them, and as ive committed to Mario Kart builds, thank god for cheaper mario kart builds and only 3 of them.

@Duncanballs my mom picked mine up from woolworths whilst I was at work! And we had exactly the same games! I'm pretty sure the cost for luigi and squadron and the GC was 179 and at that price I couldn't say no after paying cartridge prices. It was a mental launch, and still one of my favourite consoles of all time.

@Duncanballs gamecube was £129 as well which was extremely cheap and the first console i ever pre ordered! Made paying 60 or 70 for Donkey kong country less than 10 years before look atrocious, inflation or not!
