Really surprised to see so many negative comments. I guess I'm one of a very few who actually cares about this title. I never would have thought so many people wouldn't buy a beautifully re-visioned classic just because of a lack of online multiplayer in a game in which it's multiplayer wasn't a focus, but just an interesting add on (at the time just to make another game to support the new 4 controller ports on a Nintendo system).
Funny how games like Call of Duty are perfectly fine in people's eyes despite it's story mode being rather short and pointless just because it's mainly an online multiplayer game, but single player games (not just Starfox) constantly get slammed for not having online when it wasn't intended as it's focus anyway.
An 8 is a great score, but it's reasoning makes me scratch my head. You gave OoT a better score, and that game had what this game had... improved graphics, optional motion control, and a small addition (OoT was Master Quest, Starfox was a much more robust multiplayer experience).
How can you praise the one for being a recreation of what should have been if the hardware limitations weren't there with really no new content, and not with the other?
Nothing was added in Zelda OoC, other than alternate control schemes (gyro) and better graphics/new menus. Considering this goes a step above that with a completely new multiplayer mode and an updated training mission, I don't see how you can honestly praise one and complain about the other.
I don't know how anyone could pass this up. On a somewhat related note, boot up Starfox 64 on your old N64. It's extremely ugly. When I was young, the graphics were astounding to me, but after going back they were pretty bad. The amount of love and polish that's gone into this title is even more evident than in Zelda OoC, and that was a night and day conversion as well.
I'd much rather have this than a straight up port. N64 games haven't aged well graphically, but their gameplay is as top notch as it was back in the 90's. I think it's a fantastic idea for them to update these games to make them shine like they deserve.
Bad 3D effect? They said it was good, and helped (like most games for the 3DS). Don't downplay the game/system on points that don't exist. There was plenty else you could have said you didn't like about Saga to make your point.
It's a shame, because you can tell that they really put so much effort into the game. Whoever chose to remake this game needs to be fired. Games like this are NOT what the 3DS needs right now.

Re: Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword Limited Edition Details
What's with half the buttons like the A and Dpad being gold, and the other ones being white?
Re: Rhythm Heaven Wii & 3DS Take Japan Chart Top Spots
Hopefully these sales numbers will stick. The fall/winter lineup should help with that. I for one am looking forward to Starfox next month.
Re: NightSky Coming to 3DS eShop
Don't know much about this game, but more games for the 3DS eShop isn't ever a bad thing.
